Jaicimus Teyrn has watched over Gwyneth Stone for years, keeping her safe from other vampires. Now, he's tired of hiding in the shadows of her life, and he wants to introduce himself.
His timing proves to be unfortunate as there is a new vampire war brewing, lead by the fierce and ambitious Ana Rose. She will stop at nothing until she rules over all vampire kind, and Jaicimus and his friends, Malthius, Osiris, Ameret, and Billy Viridian find themselves put up to the task of stopping Ana Rose before she plunges the world as they know it into peril.
Ameret discovers that there is an ancient vampire, the first of their kind, that may be able to help them stop the oncoming war before it begins, but Ana Rose is looking for the first vampire herself. What begins as a race against time to get to Nostradus first turns on a pin when Jaicimus’ own long forgotten past is dredged up, casting suspicion on Jaicimus himself.
